Congrats go out to former Halifax Major Midget standout goaltender, Mason McDonald who was drafted in the NHL Entry Draft yesterday.
Mason, a Halifax native played one season with the McDonalds’ preceding sponsor the TaylarMade Security Titans in 2011/12. Mason held a regular season record of 14-1 with a 0.916 save percentage and went 5-1 in the post season. He was one of the many key components of another successful season and back-to-back league championships.
Mason was the first goalie selected, going in the 2nd round 34th overall to the Calgary Flames.
