Successful Inter-Lock Weekend
2013-12-09The Halifax McDonalds completed a successful weekend against two teams from the NB/PEIMMHL.
On Saturday the Macs defeated the Saint John Vito's 3-2. The game was tied at 1 going into the third until Dillon Boucher netted a pair to give a 3-1 lead. On Sunday afternoon the Macs would host the Fredericton Canadiens with almost the same outcome. The Macs jumped out to a 2-0 lead after goals from Marsh and Hickey but Fredericton would answer back before the end of the second. The teams were tied at 2 going into the third but Marsh and Hickey each picked up their 2nd of the game giving the Macs a 4-2 win. Shots were 33-32 for the Macs with Justin Ritcey stopping 31 pucks for his 10th win of the season.
The McDonalds will now travel to Quebec City for the Reebok Challenge from December 11-15
